This was a complete redesign and modernization elevator project for 2 x 7-story elevators for the city of Richmond CA senior housing.  They were unsafe, unreliable, numerous consistent down-time episodes that greatly reduced handicapped traffic flow for their residents.

This was an extensive design and build to retrofit in existing shaft.  We had to use our decades of design and engineering experience to be able to fit bigger elevators in the existing space constraints of the building.  We used the latest, locally-built, modern non-proprietary equipment to make it easier to maintain and repair.

We are redesigning and installing all new fixtures (buttons, lighting, interior finishes, etc.) and secondary wheelchair accessable button panels.  We used 3D door detection devices to enhance safety and eliminate potential injuries from closing doors to the handicapped.
